Is Dicta really offline?
Yes. Dictation itself needs no network connection at all: speech recognition, vocabulary corrections and the AI rewrite step all run on your Mac. You can verify this yourself by running Dicta with a firewall in block-all mode; dictation keeps working.
The only network calls Dicta ever makes are: downloading model files the first time you need them, checking for app updates, refreshing your license (at most weekly, key-hash only), and an optional, off-switchable, anonymous usage counter. None of these carry your audio or your transcribed text. Full details are on the Privacy page.
